The Babbling Brook Country Inn is a Traditional 16th Century Inn once described as a 'chocolate box' as there is a surprise behind every door! We boast no Jukebox TV fruit machines or pool tables just Excellent Food & Drink. Having won several awards for our Food you will be sure of a wonderful dining experience. With oak beams and open fires. You can choose to dine Alfresco in our beautiful Cottage garden during the warmer months or by our roaring fire when he weather is cooler. We have a varied menu from our pub classics to our mouth watering Chef's Specials and fabulous (best in the area) Sunday Carvery you will be spoilt for choice when you visit. Our Ensuite Rooms will allow you to unwind to the sound of birds singing in the morning and stars shining in the evening and without street lights they are truly amazing! We are situated in the beautiful Hamlet of Shurton on the edge of the Quantock Hills halfway between Bridgwater and Minehead just a 15 min drive from J24 on the M5 and close to Taunton. Ideally placed to visit lots of attractions some of the closet local Golf Course are Enmore Golf Club and Cannington. Beach fishing at Kilve & Lilstock for Bass & Cod and Burton Springs less than 1/2 mile away for fly and course fishing. Bird watching at the Bird sanctuary at Steart on the Seven Estuary. The West Somerset Steam Railway. Clarks Village Weston Super Mare the list is endless! Whilst staying you will find us welcoming and friendly and often have return guests as we find that once you have stayed once you will want to return. Our style is relaxed and informal and we like you to feel like your in a 'home away from home'. Recently shown on Channel 4's 'Three in a bed' we are proud of our Country Style rooms which are comfortable and clean above anything else!
All our rooms are tastefully decorated in a traditional Country style in keeping with our 16th Century Inn. Each room has their own ensuite bathroom some with shower and no bath please check when booking if you require a bath. Soft towels are provided with quality toiletries tea and coffee making facilities with a tea tray and biscuits also a Flat Screen TV with DVD player and we have an extensive library of DVD's available if required. Iron available on request as is hairdryer.
There is someone available at all times either on the property or via the telephone number provided. All rooms are ensuite and have their own garden access enable guests to come and go freely without interrupting others.

Mobility Description:
Room 4 is suitable for people with mobility issues the bath room is fitted with hand rails etc and is larger than the other bathrooms (can accommodate a wheelchair) in the ensuite room. Although there are steps to the rooms themselves these are minimal approx 3 steps to manoeuvre to get to your room.

- We have a 50 seat restaurant/pub with several areas to dine in from the conservatory overlooking the garden or our areas by the fire. You can also choose to dine alfresco in the warmer months in our cottage style garden. We offer a full range of cuisine from the usual pub fair including a homemade pie of the day encased in shortcrust pastry to the more special choices from our special board which changes weekly. From Bridgwater follow signs to A39 Minehead until you reach the roundabout just before Cannington take the second exit and continue into Cannington until you see a War Memorial at this point turn right up the hill. Keep on this road for approx 5 miles until you will see a left hand turn signposted Shurton Burton & Stogursey. Turn Left here and we are approximately 500 yards down this road on the right.;
