Opened in 1919 the Historic Hydro was originally built as an accommodation house for executives involved in the construction of the Murrumbidgee irrigation area. The Historic hydro has been carefully converted to a modern motel but retaining most of the period furnishing from its glory days. Sit by the fireplace in the grand foyer absorbing some of the charactor and charm that the historic hydro has to offer. With 28 motel rooms consisting of queen and twin suites. Most rooms have french doors that open onto the verandah. All rooms have their own ensuite. The Historic Hydro Motor Inn offers both cooked and continental breakfast.
