Ballymena is a historic large town which was originally build on land that was handed over to the Adair Family by King Charles I in 1626. There are various attractions to visit such as the Ballymena Museum The Ballymena Showgrounds and the Slemish Mountain. Nearby there is also the Seven Towers Leisure Centre. The Portglenone Marina which is open 7am every morning. As well as 30 berths they provide a trailer park camping area and picnic areas overlooking the river.
