There are many walks starting right from our front door. Fishing can be enjoyed at Otby Lakes which is within Walesby just minutes by car. Market Rasen Racecourse is within 3 miles as is the beautiful 18-hole Market Rasen Golf Club. The beautiful countryside surrounding The Old Stables is an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln is 20 miles away with the Castle and Steep Hill a must visit with the Cathedral in the Bailgate area. The market towns of Louth and Horncastle are 20 minutes by car and along with Market Rasen all hold traditional and Farmers markets. The unspoilt coast of Sutton on Sea and Sandilands are worth a visit or if you prefer a more traditional seaside town then Cleethorpes Grimsby or Skegness are not far. Lincolnshire also boasts some beautiful historic houses and castles such as Belton House Doddington Hall Gunby Hall Normanby Hall Woolsthorpe Manor and Tattershall castle and Grimsthorpe castle. The National Trust properties of Mr Straws house in Woksop and The Workhouse in Southwell are not far.
