Welcome to Slaley Rose & Crown the pub/restaurant owned by the community it serves following a successful community share offer in 2013. It is the only community-owned pub/restaurant in the North East. Our Manager Tracey Weatherley and our chef Meredith Gibbons and their team look forward to welcoming you and making your visit a memorable one. The Rose & Crown is a Grade 2 listed building which dates back to 1675. It has been providing services to locals and visitors ever since. There are log fires and a warm welcome in winter and a sheltered beer garden with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside for the summer. With outstanding views to the south the Rose and Crown is located in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. It is in the heart of Slaley village home of Slaley Show close to the Slaley Hall golf complex. It is a fine touring base with the local attractions of Hexham Corbridge Hadrian's Wall Beamish Open Air Museum historic Durham City and indoor shopping at The Metro Centre Gateshead all a short drive away. Newcastle with its International airport is a 30 minute drive away. The Northumberland coast with Alnwick castle and gardens including Lindisfarne island are within an hours drive.
