Our bright and contemporary apartment is in the heart of the city next to characterful Spitalfields, trendy Shoreditch and cultural Brick Lane. A cosy, comfortable, peaceful retreat perfect for refuelling before exploring London's many attractions.
The Space
Welcome to our home! We love having the best of both worlds - outside is vibrant, full of history and oozing character; inside is cosy, comfortable and extremely relaxing.
There is 1 bedroom sleeping 2 people but we also have a sofa bed in the living room which sleeps a further 2 people.
The living space is clean, modern (with a vintage feel) and well-equipped. The TV (with BT Vision), stereo system, piano and books are more than enough to keep you entertained if you fancy a break from the city.
We enjoy cooking and so the kitchen is well-equipped and there is a wide selection of recipe books if you fancy cooking.
Having said that, there are so many bars, clubs, restaurants and cafés in the area so you won't have to lift a finger.
Guest Access
Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. There is a small set of table and chairs at the front of the flat you can sit on if the weather is nice but we make sure we respect our neighbours' peace and quite by keeping the noise down.
Interaction with Guests
One of us (or a trusted friend/relative) will check you in and out. Feel free to ask us any questions.
We love London and are more than happy to share a few of our favourite places to visit with our guests. We have loads of places within walking distance to recommend!
The Neighbourhood
Brick Lane has a bit of a party feel on weekends but thankfully the flat is far enough away from the lane itself to avoid the noise.
The area is full of history and you can find out more by wondering around and exploring or you can go on a guided walking tour. The Jack the Ripper tour is very popular and starts near Aldgate East station.
If you want to see even more history, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge is a 10-15 minute walk away. Other impressive (but more modern) buildings within walking distance include the Heron tower, Tower 42, the Gherkin and the Shard.
Art is all over the area whether in the many galleries or on the street so keep an eye out for street art by the likes of Banksy. Street art tours are also very popular.
Shoreditch is a 10-15 minutes walk up Brick Lane and is full of restaurants, cafés and bars and the famous Spitalfields market is within a 5-10 minute walk. On the weekends (mainly Sunday) a number of other markets are open in the area. If you like flowers, check out Columbia Road on Sundays!
