In the time that we have lived here we have realised that there is something wonderful almost magical in the air! All the animals that have turned up at our door over the years from highly strung ex-racing thoroughbreds to scatty Dexter cattle have become wonderfully calm and content within days of arriving. Friends and house guests feel this same calm contentment and comment on how relaxed and at home they feel when they come to stay. They then go back to their busy lives refreshed and invigorated. Standing at the head of its own ancient valley the Woundale with views up towards the North York Moors yet nestled cosily in the foothills rising above Thirsk Woundales Farm is an adult only retreat ideally located to explore North Yorkshire. Minutes from the A19 and 15 minutes from the A1 assures fast access to all the major towns cities and attractions in the district and beyond.
Our bedrooms are decorated and furnished in an individual and boutique style. The living areas of the farm house are In historic Farrow and Ball paints but we have used strong English Heritage colours by Little Green in our three bedrooms. This makes staying in one of our rooms an individual and different experience. We often decorate our homes now in a very neutral and safe manner but wouldn't it be nice to stay in something different and bold?
