"O Rincón da Baiuca" is an ancient farm located in A Baiuca at the entrance to Muxia, deep in the heart of the Costa da Morte. As well as being an ancient farm house the building was also used as a small tavern for the village, apparently it was in one of the bedrooms and has a small wooden bar and was called "O Despacho". This was the place where family, friends and neighbours gathered. Next to the farm house is a small "A Bodega" where wine and various produce gathered throughout the year are stored. One of the other bedrooms was formerly the stables, where the farmers and land workers from the surrounding areas who visited Muxia, used as a coach stop for their horses whilst they went down to the village for trade.

Nowadays the house still has the original well which was used to provide the animal's drinking water. Carefully restored in 2002, taking great care to maintain the original atmosphere, cleverly combing rustic styles with modern comforts, ensuring our guests a comfortable and relaxing break. Comprising of 7 double bedrooms each with heating, a bathroom and 22" TV, two of which also come with a hydro massage shower, all come with tasteful decor and individual charm, then there are two communal kitchens for our guests who wish to make something to eat then relax on our terrace, relaxing in the natural tranquillity this area offers. There are many ideas and theories why the area is named "A Costa da Morte· (the dead coast), one is that the name came from the deep waters which is a well known marine grave yard another is this was thought of as the end of the world so is the frontier between life and death.

But when looking into the oldest legends we come across the ancient Camino de Estrellas ( stars route) which is known as the world renowned as the Camino de Santiago nowadays, ending in Finisterrae and where the ancient Celtic wanderers had access to the rest of Europe, a place where the sun sinks every night only to be reborn each morning giving new light to life.
