Located in the heart of the Purbeck Hills the farmhouse has stunning views across open fields to Corfe Castle. The original farmhouse is mentioned in the Doomsday book but was destroyed by fire in the early 1800s. The present house was built in 1862 of local Purbeck stone as a manor house for a member of Lord Eldons family before becoming the farmhouse in the early 1900s. Our family partnership farms approx 2000 acres of land stretching up to the highest point in Purbeck at Swyre Head then west along the Purbeck coastline. The land continues north up to the Purbeck Hills which runs through to Swanage with the whole area now being recognized as a World Heritage Site. Bradle Farmhouse is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is the perfect retreat for a relaxing break in rural Dorset but within easy reach of Dorchester Poole & Bournemouth. Whether you are aiming to walk enjoy the landscape and wildlife have a romantic break or lazy getaway we will do everything we can to make your stay a great experience. Gillian and John look forward to offering you a warm welcome and the chance to share their beautiful home with you.
