The Severn Arms; a picturesque Elizabethan grade 2 listed building located at the heart of Pen-y-bont which was built in 1755 by the architect John Price and celebrated their 260th anniversary this year. It was originally named The New Inn but gained its current title from Squire J Cheesement Severn whose family the architects daughter married into. Some locals recollect that it was a very important staging post for coaches travelling between Aberystwyth and London. Directly located in front of the River Ithon the hotel boasts a tranquil and relaxing air encouraging a peaceful and warmly welcomed stay. This beautiful landscape also appeals to those looking for a fishing trip as the hotel has five miles of fishing rights on the river.
The hotel consists of 10 en suit bedrooms with scenic views of the hilly welsh country side decorated in traditional welsh country style with Comfy Beds flat screen TV tea and coffee making facilities and a large bathroom with shower and bath.
