The Lush family have been running The Sandhaven since 2014. Prior to this they both worked in advertising for over 25 years in London. Owning and running a B&B in Swanage had been a long held dream for both them and their children. They aim to ensure all guests are made to feel relaxed and able to enjoy the surrounding area after a good nights sleep and locally sourced breakfast. The Sandhaven itself is located a short walk 200 yards from the beach at Swanage one of the most desirable locations in Purbeck and within easy reach of all the attractive and historic features of Dorset. Swanage alone can boasts more than 1 mile of sandy beach with water ideal for bathing and many other watersports a traditional steam railway and a wealth of boutiques and small shops. A short walk out of town takes one to Durlston Country Park which offers splendid views along the Purbeck Coast and from where a Seal Dolphins and Puffins can be spotted. North of Swanage is the sandy beach of Studland and closeby Arne RSPB nature reserve( As seen on BBC Autumn and Winter Watch) which offers a chance to walk and see a rich variety of bird and animal life. The Swanage steam railway takes you on a journey back to Victorian times and also to Corfe Castle where you can enjoy a 1 000 years of history. The Sandhaven is also only a short drive from many of Dorsets natural attractions such as the Blue Pool Lulworth Cove Durdle Door and Old Harry's Rocks but also the Tank Museum Monkey World and the Terracotta Museum in Dorchester. We have 7 car park spaces for 9 rooms which is usually enough and there is nearby free on-street parking. No pets unfortunately due to our own Dogs and Cats.
All of our rooms are light clean and tidy with en-suite bathrooms. Every room also has a Freeview TV WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities.
