Conchra House bed and breakfast is situated near Dornie Ross-shire and only 10 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh – the gateway to the Isle of Skye and close to the village of Plockton and the surrounding area of Lochalsh. Conchra is an 18th Century traditional house offering a Country House style of accommodation at guest house prices. It is on the shores of Loch Long and has stunning views over the loch towards Eilean Donan Castle. It provides an ideal base for hillwalking and is a particular favourite for Munro Baggers. Built circa 1760 as the seat of the local constable it later became the ancestral home of the MacRae's of Eilean Donan Castle who were loyal followers of the MacKenzies Lairds of Kintail and Earls of Seaforth. In recent years the amenities and comforts that one would expect of a fine country house have been discretely added. As a result Conchra makes the perfect base for discovering the dramatic scenery of the West Coast and one of the few places which truly provides the kind of hospitality others boast about. There is plenty of space for parking outside the house.

The accommodation comprises five cosy bedrooms - each enjoying en-suite facilities. The twin and double room on the second floor can double-up if required to make an excellent family suite thus providing that extra degree of privacy.

The spacious and tastefully appointed lounge provides the perfect environment for relaxation beside the crackling log fire.
