All beaches within 20-30 mins drive Castle Lodge currently has eight rooms to let in total. Singles twins double and a family suite. Geographically located in the centre of the Island Newport is its principal town and main shopping centre. Excellent roads and bus services make it easy to reach from anywhere on the Island and the Southern Vectis bus terminus is right in the centre of town. Enjoy browsing in the major chain stores or the many individual and intriguing little shops to be found in the lanes leading off the High Street and two main squares. Newport has two elegant squares and many fine town houses date from Georgian and early Victorian times.. Historic buildings have been restored to provide the tiny Apollo Theatre in Pyle Street and the Quay Arts Centre housed in former warehouses on the western bank of the river where you will find pubs sports facilities and a cycle way to Cowes. Leisure sports are available at Seaclose Park and at the nearby Mountbatten Centre a modern complex with indoor swimming pool theatre and adjoining Arboretum. The town center has a variety of cafe bars restaurants and night life to suit all ages. There is a multiplex cinema showing all the latest movies seven days a week. Newport holds a market every Tuesday along with a local farmers market on a Friday both held in and around St Thomas's square.

Directions:
Exiting Yarmouth take the A3054 sign post for Newport. At the Forest rd traffic signals turn right for Gunville and Carisbrooke. At the roundabout turn left into Carisbrooke village through Carisbrooke high street across the next two mini roundabouts when at the next traffic signals turn sharp right into Castle rd also sign posted for the IW Society for the blind. Castle rd is a one way street.;
