Brett and Kelly Sutton are proud to welcome you to The White Post the only pub in the UK that straddles two county borders. In times gone by the two counties had different closing times. The pub had two bars one in Dorset and one in Somerset. At 10.30pm punters would need to leave the Dorset bar and move into Somerset to gain an extra half-hour drinking time. The border still runs down the middle of our bar allowing us to serve from Somerset into Dorset however you no longer need to worry about that extra half an hour. Come and dine in our award winning restaurant and enjoy the far reaching views across the beautiful Dorset and Somerset countryside the homes where we source our fantastic ingredients. The White Post has won Taste of The West Gold every year since we have been open and were luck enough to be listed in the Michelin guide within the first 6 months of opening our doors. All our local awards are displayed in our bar/lounge area and we are always striving to better ourselves and what we have to offer. We also offer fantastic accommodation in our three en-suite rooms so you can also sample the amazing local drinks we have to offer and then wake up to more beautiful views whilst enjoying your breakfast.
