Stonecroft Country Guesthouse is set in a stunning location in the main hamlet of the Edale Valley in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park. Built of local stone in the early 1900s the house is privately owned and has been lovingly refurbished offering individually designed rooms in sumptuous surroundings where you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Breakfast at Stonecroft is quite an event and is served in the elegantly decorated dining room which has an original fireplace cornices and wonderful views through the large bay windows Guests dine in style with fine foods organic and locally sourced wherever possible bone china and silver cutlery made locally by David Mellor. Stonecroft is a spacious period house and family home built in the early 1900s. Bedrooms are light and airy. Guests dine around the large oak dining table in the period dining room with fine china crystal and candle light. The residents lounge has a large flat screen tv and welcoming fire in winter. Guests can relax in the pretty country garden in summer.
The Peak District National Park is easily accessible from all areas of the United Kingdom and its varied landscape provides entertainment and relaxation for all. Popular for walking cycling Stately Homes Fine Dining all outdoor pursuits activity courses and simply a wonderful place to relax and recharge. In order to protect the environment we aim to recycle and reduce waste as much as possible. We ask guests to pre order breakfast the night before. Your rooms have showers rather than baths to reduce water wastage and wc's have water limiters installed. As much of the food used at Stonecroft is organic and locally sourced wherever possible.

Mobility Description:
The drive to the house is a farm track and a little uneven. There are 4 steps from the road and two steps up to the front door. The staircase is wide and not steep but has a bend and half landing near the top. Stonecroft is not suitable for wheelchair bound guests as all bedrooms are on the first floor.

- Breakfast is served in the spacious period dining room and guests dine together around our large antique dining table. This is a lovely sunny room with a large bay window and has views of the garden and along the valley towards Jacobs Ladder. At night guests dine by candlelight and enjoy the cosy atmosphere.

Directions:
From the village of Hope which is situated on the A6187 between Hathersage and Castleton turn right by the Old Hall Hotel (opposite the Church). Continue on this lane for four and a half miles until you reach a public Car Park on the right. Turn right after the Car Park and continue under the railway bridge passing the Rambler Inn then the church both on your left. Stonecroft is the third house on the left after the church.
