DumaTau Camp is located in the 125, 000 hectare Linyati Wildlife Reserve in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Bordering the western boundary of the Chobe National Park in northern Botswana, DumaTau Camp is positioned near the source of the Savute Channel in the Linyati Swamp System. The area is well known for its game drives along the Savute Channel. DumaTau Camp is a ten-roomed luxury tented camp overlooking one of the many hippo-filled lagoons in the region and shaded by a grove of mangosteen trees.
DumaTau Camp's thatched tents are spacious with canvas walls, en-suite bathrooms and outside showers. DumaTau Camp features a dining room, pub, lounge and a special guest bathroom with panoramic views of the Okavango Delta.
The region is renowned for its high elephant concentrations as the herds congregate along the waterways and lagoons during the dry winter months of the Okavango Delta. Wildlife diversity and viewing is excellent all year round, with wildebeest, red lechwe, Burchell's zebra, giraffe, Cape buffalo, chacma baboon, vervet monkey, and warthog to be seen.
Predator sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyena are high. Wildlife viewing is the primary activity at DumaTau Camp, with both day and night game drives, exploration on foot and on the water (levels permitting). Short nature walks can be taken along the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, with boat trips along the river are likely to spot hippo and waterfowl.
