Your holiday adventure begins at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, situated in the South Ari Atoll and following the ‘One Island, One Resort’ concept the Maldives is famous for. This island is 900 meters long by 250 meters wide, about 55 acres and surrounded by a spectacular house reef a short swim away from the expansive sandy beach, the quintessential dive and snorkeling island adventure. The seaplane transfer from Velana International Airportis a scenic 25-minute flight.

The resort’s accommodation options provide the perfect space to relax after days filled with ocean adventures. Choose from the 194 rooms available, each with their own natural island style, including 30 Jacuzzi Water Villas, 30 Jacuzzi Beach Villas, 58 Adjoining Beach Villas, 53 Standalone Beach Villas and 23 Garden Rooms. Guests can break up their adventure-filled days and take a moment to enjoy a bite to eat and delicious drinks to quench their thirst at one of the restaurants and bars on the island. Two buffet style restaurants offer guests themed dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in an authentic Maldivian atmosphere with thatched roofs, sand floors and open spaces. Funama caters for guests in the Garden Room and Beach Villas, while Ahima caters for adults in the Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas. Complimentary water is provided during meal times for all guests.

Escape form the ordinary and try the two seated à la carte restaurants on the island. Enjoy the over-water ambiance of Asian Wok, this restaurant specializes in Asian cuisine and teppanyaki, yum! Hot Rock restaurant features unique culinary flare with a distinct gastronomic journey, guests can savor seafood, steak and chicken prepared by the chef and cooked by the guest to their preference on a heated magma rock, sounds like a cooking adventure.

Guests can also indulge in three additional à la carte options; with a snack menu at the bars and pools, room service and a selection of al fresco dinners on the beach.

A range of bars complement guests’ beach-filled days with refreshing drinks. Bonthi Bar with over-water deck for evening celebrations, offering satellite TV coverage of international sporting events and a disco night, while Boashi Bar offers sultry drinks beside the pool. Asian Wok Bar offers great alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. The adults’ only Sunset Bar offers the best sundowners, indulge in a drink on the deck overlooking the infinity pool and ocean, some of the bestsunset views on the island.

SPORTS & RECREATION:

Wander the island in search of adventure or dip into the ocean and discover the beauty that the Maldives is famous for with 1.5 km of beautiful white sandy beach, a magnificent lagoon and excellent snorkeling on the house reef, which can be found on both sides of the island. Relax by one of the two sparkling clear freshwater swimming pools, the Boashi Pool is for all guests and has a crystalline children’s wading pool located near the eastern end of the resort and surrounded by our tropical garden, while the adults’ only Sunset Pool offers a more relaxing atmosphere overlooking the beach and turquoise ocean. A lighted tennis court, putting green, volleyball, badminton, pétanque, football grounds and fitness center; fishing excursions including morning and afternoon trips. The resort also offers a children’s playground by the Boashi Pool and a children’s Games Room next to the Gift Shop.
