Eirianfa looks out over Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant a quiet pretty mid-Wales village in the Tanat valley close to the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall - one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and 60 feet higher than Niagara! Eirianfa is ideally placed to explore mid and north Wales Shropshire and the border country. The National Trust properties of Powis Castle Chirk Castle and Erddig are all about half an hour's drive away. Eirianfa prides itself on the way guests are looked after. The food is good the beds are comfortable and the hospitality comes from the heart. Expect a very warm welcome at Eirianfa a comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast. Dinner and packed lunches available with a little notice.

We think you'll find Eirianfa's en-suite bedrooms very comfortable indeed. All have freeview digital TV and tea and coffee making facilities. You can also access wireless broadband (free of charge of course). We've tried to think of everything you might need while you're staying with us so if you've forgotten something or you can't find something you'd expect in your room we'll usually be able to provide it.

There's also a comfortable guest lounge where you can sit and read the papers after breakfast meet up with your party to plan your day. In the evening you could play a board game (we've got all the classics as well as some forgotten gems!) or settle down with your friends and family to watch TV or a film.

We try to use ingredients from as close to home as possible including (delicious!) eggs from free range hens and meat from animals which have been farmed humanely. Directions:
From Shrewsbury take the A5 west bound. Turn left on to the B4396 towards Knockin. Continue to the crossroads at Llynclys. Go straight over on to the A495 (signposted Lake Vyrnwy and Bala among others). Where the road forks take the right fork (straight ahead in effect) back on to the B4396. Carry on to Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. Go through village centre and turn right at Waterfall Street (signposted for the waterfall). Eirianfa is on the right hand side as the road starts to rise.;
