Welcome to the family-run Gasthof Schönachhof! Even during the Roman era Tirol was a major crossroads at the heart of Europe. There were two ways to travel north and therefore through the Alps. One route was via the Reschenpass and the second was the Brenner Pass. Schönberg im Stubaital became well-known due to its excellent weather in summer and good skiing conditions in winter. The Schönachhof's owners (the Lanthaler family) were initially farmers until Vinzenz and Helene Lanthaler converted the property into a small hotel. This has been continued by the current owners Klaus and Margarete Lanthaler and now the Schönachhof is a delightful 3-star hotel with all the amenities and comfort you expect when hiking or skiing in the area.
