Come aboard and enjoy a rare and unique experience of staying on the oldest surviving lightship step back in time and enjoy a restful nights sleep in the 180 year old hull of the old lightship. You can either choose to be the captain of the ship and stay in the Captains cabins cladded in the original wood of the captains work station or the skipper and stay (a bit more comfortably than in the skippers day) Inner Dowsing cabin based in the centre of the hull where all the skippers and lantern workers would stay. Based in the calming surroundings of the River Medway you can feel the peaceful flow of the river right outside the window. Relax and enjoy the modern facilities in the lounge deck which includes a small kitchenette for food preparations and dining on board. If both rooms are booked you have the ship to yourselves and can make it a home from home stay. The upper deck is a fully open deck with 360 degree views of the surrounding river and Rochester Castle looming on the horizon. There is no scrubbing decks here just deck chairs to relax and enjoy the view. All rooms include the price of a fully cooked locally produced breakfast served in the lounge deck at a time that suits you.Facilities:
