Nuzzled into the border of Suffolk and Norfolk The Oaksmere in Brome near Diss lies in an idyllic setting at the end of an avenue of lime trees and 17 acres of formal parkland terraces and gardens. Wine and dine in the lively and buzzy atmosphere of the restaurant where the food is created under the culinary expertise of Chef Alan Dann. Expect to see black and white chequered floor sweeping staircase and oak beams mingling with colourful rooms an adorable combination that works well. Extensive renovation saw the building stripped back and brought back to its former glory. The modern facilities in the rooms and suites are of an extremely high specification with hypnos beds whirlpool baths rain head showers large sky TV s and audio systems to play your own music. Once a 16th century dower house built in 1574 the building has a colourful past that is evident throughout merging modern and eclectic furnishings. The atmosphere at The Oaksmere is laid back relaxed and friendly. The staff are professional and welcoming their ultimate goal being that guests enjoy an unforgettable luxury experience. Complementing the restaurant there are two bars at the hotel. The Tudor Pub complete with an internal living well and medieval features invites guests to relax by the open fire with a pint and if they fancy a hearty meal.
