The Porterhouse is a free house pub with a choice of 3 bed & breakfast rooms above. It stands on the village crossroads. Downstairs there is a small dining area and bar serving beautifully cooked meals throughout the day. br / br / br / br / The B&B has it s own private entrance and guests are invited to use it as their own. The studio is fully self contained with it s own kitchen & lounge allowing those who perhaps staying for a few nights to prepare & cook their own meals and truly feel at home. The 2 double/twin rooms use a spacious communal kitchen which features a fridge microwave & sink allowing you to prepare a light snack whilst watching the TV. Tea coffee & the cookie jar are available at all times for you to help yourself & a comprehensive continental breakfast of cereals pastries juices tea coffee yoghurts and bread & jams are left for you to again help yourself to at your leisure. Feel free to enjoy it in the kitchen whilst watching the TV or grab a tray & take it all back to your room. br / br / br / br / There is a sofa bed in the Studio in addition to the double bed so this is perfect for a family wishing to stay with small children. Please request this when booking so we can make the bed up or provide the linen for you. br / br / br / br / The pub downstairs is warm & welcoming playing a selection of Motown & Northern Soul classics. Our food offering is simple but filling to say the least & will suit most people s tastes & budget ranging from steaks pizzas & pasta to salads & bangers & mash. We hope you find your stay relaxing. br / br / br / br / It is worth noting that there is not a hot option available at breakfast. br / br / br / br / Whilst the property has been entirely refurbished the rooms are still above the pub and are situated on a main road so you may experience a little noise from the road.
