Located in Australia's spectacular Blue Mountains district, Hotel Blue is a boutique 1920s hotel that captures the charm and character of a bygone era.
Hotel Blue features 24 cosy, comfortable Guest Rooms, a spacious Lounge with log fires, a boutique Bar, in-house Chinese Restaurant, free live jazz or blues every Friday and Saturday evening, free cooked breakfast for all hotel guests and free WiFi.
Allow yourself to step back into yesteryear, amidst the rich art-deco style furnishings. Ornate chandeliers, velvet flocked wallpaper, beautiful antique furniture, richly embellished ceilings, hand-carved timber panelling and old-time jazz and blues tunes playing in the background give Hotel Blue its unique ambience, reminiscent of days gone by.
Sink into a comfortable arm chair and bask in front of a roaring log fire in the open fireplace in the spacious Guest Lounge during the winter months, or enjoy a board game. Refresh yourself with a relaxing drink in the intimate Parlour Bar, which particularly showcases the produce of regional wineries and breweries. Mr Jin's Restaurant (in-house) offers authentic Chinese cuisine for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.
Hotel Blue is conveniently situated only 5 minutes’ walk from Katoomba’s central shopping and dining district, 10 minutes' walk from Katoomba Railway Station, and 15 minutes’ stroll from Echo Point’s World Heritage-listed views of the iconic Three Sisters and the Blue Mountains National Park.

YOUR BLUE MOUNTAINS
Hotel Blue is just 10 minutes' walk down the street from Echo Point Look-out with its world-famous views of the Three Sisters. Echo Point is the starting point for endless kilometres of walking tracks in all directions, ranging from leisurely cliff-top strolls with spectacular views of the mountains and valleys, to more challenging walks which will reward you with glimpses of the many lush rainforest pockets, cascading waterfalls and towering ancient forests.
To explore the rainforest in a more leisurely fashion, take a short stroll from Echo Point to Scenic World. The Scenic Railway, the world's steepest incline passenger railway, will take you from the cliff tops down to the depths of the rainforest, where you can wander amongst the majestic towering trees and explore the relics of the historic coalmines. Then you can glide back up through the treetops on the Cableway. A ride across the gorge in the glass-bottomed Skyway carriage, suspended 270 metres above Katoomba Falls, will let you experience some of the most spectacular views of the Blue Mountains.
The Blue Mountains have long been a favourite haunt of artists, writers and musicians. Katoomba is a hub of creative activity, that not only attracts those who find their inspiration amidst the serenity of the deep blue hills, but also draws travellers who come from near and far to explore the myriad of antique and vintage emporiums, wander through the local art galleries and enjoy the thriving live music scene.
To help you get as much as possible out of your stay in the Blue Mountains, Hotel Blue offers a variety of tailored packages, with inclusions such as Explorer Bus tickets to get you to all the local attractions and back to the Hotel again, guided tours of the world-renowned Jenolan Caves, and passes for Scenic World’s spectacular Skyway, Railway and Scenic Cableway rides, taking in the best views the Jamison Valley has to offer. We can also arrange outdoor and adventure activities such as guided scenic and eco tours, bushwalking, horse riding, mountain biking, abseiling, rock climbing and canyoning. You can select from a range of activities and attractions when you book your room or package. Hotel Blue’s friendly staff can also advise you on all the local attractions and arrange bookings upon request.
