The Villa Dos Avos sits in a rural spot just outside the traditional village of Guia, surrounded by countryside and fields sprinkled with farmhouses. But with neighbouring villas nearby, it is far from being remote or isolated. Getting out and about is simple, too. Albufeira is just a 15-minute drive away, while Guia is five minutes by car.
Plus, the nearest golf course is just ten kilometres from the door. As for the villa itself, it opens onto a large, south-facing garden, which is ideal for spending quiet days lounging in the sun. Neat flowerbeds and shrubs skirt the edges, while the unusually shaped pool sits in the centre of the lawns surrounded by a terrace and sunloungers. Just steps away is a roofed patio, where you can sit over meals and survey the garden and scenery beyond.
Inside, meanwhile, the two-storey villa has plenty of traditional touches in keeping with its rustic location. Downstairs, wooden ceilings, brass chandeliers and archways give the lounge and dining room a quaint feel, set off by a brick fireplace, alcoves and pretty, Portuguese wall tiles. The large and bright kitchen is done out in farmhouse style, with doors taking you out to the dining terrace and pool area. Elsewhere, the bedrooms are spacious and modern, with cream walls co-ordinating with muted green or blue soft fabrics.
Each comes with its own en-suite, too, giving everyone extra privacy and space. NB. A refundable breakages deposit of 200 euros is payable in cash on arrival.
