Property Location
Situated on 60 acres amidst lush tropical hills at the base of the majestic Nevis Peak, Montpelier offers the ideal place to unwind and disconnect from today’s frenetic pace. Originally constructed as a sugar mill in the 18th century, the property is situated six miles from its own private beach – 750 feet above the vibrant Caribbean Sea.
Less than 36 square miles, Nevis is the oldest British colony in the Caribbean and along with its sister island, St. Kitts, is in the Leeward Islands of the West Indies. With just one main road in use since plantation days, it is a soothing and secluded spot where goats and wild donkeys still roam freely. There are no traffic lights, and just three roundabouts direct the flow of traffic.
Rooms
Montpelier Plantation & Beach boasts 18 sea-view rooms housed in beautiful bungalows, including 16 rooms and two suites, each with private terraces. Designed to complement the natural surroundings, the spacious rooms are airy and open with exotic accents and carefully positioned to take advantage of the soothing trade winds.
All rooms have an en suite bathroom, ceiling fan, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, in-room safe, tea and coffee maker, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and Elemis amenities.

The three dining venues and three bars include:
• Restaurant 750: For unsurpassed alfresco dining, Montpelier Plantation’s restaurant offers light and modern cuisine, perfected through the use of local ingredients, herbs and spices. The experience is complete with fabulous views overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts.

The Mill Privée hosts tasting dinners with wine pairings carefully chosen by the hotel’s sommelier.
