ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival - KANDALAMA
Upon arrival as part of your holiday package you will be met by one of our reprensentatives to welcome you at the airport and comfortably transfer you to the hotel in Kandalama (Approx. 3hours + 30mins drive).
OPTIONAL - Visit Dambulla Golden Cave Temple. The beautiful Royal Rock Temple complex sits about 160m above the road in the southern part of Dambulla. Five separate caves contain about 150 stunning Buddha statues and paintings, some of Sri Lankas most important and evocative religious art (additional supplement will apply, subject to availability).

Day 2: Kandalama - Sigiriya
Leaving Kandalama after breakfast, you will travel towards the heart of cultural triangle; Sigiriya (Approx. 30mins drive).
OPTIONAL - Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. Visit the renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya. These are painted in earth pigments on plaster. (Approx. 1500 steps) (additional supplement will apply, subject to availability).

Day 3: Kandalama – Kandy (80 kilometres)
After breakfast at the hotel, continue your journey towards the last kingdom of Ceylon, Kandy with a visit to a Spice Garden (Approx. 3hours drive).
OPTIONAL - Visit to the sacred temple of tooth relic. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.

Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (80 kilometres)
After having breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Hills station (Approx. 2Hours drive).
En route youll visit a Tea Factory and plantation. Here you could enjoy the taste of a pure cup of “Ceylon Tea” and experience the process of how tea is being made.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Colombo (165 kilometres)
After breakfast, youll begin the journey towards the commercial capital, Colombo (Approx. 4Hours).

ATTIRE:
Visitors of both genders must wear decent clothing to cover the body appropriately when visiting religious places and shorts and sleeveless tops are not acceptable. This rule is strictly adhered to at all religious sites especially the Sacred Bo Tree and Stupas in Anuradhapura and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
Visitors should remove hats, caps, shoes and slippers when entering buildings and sites with religious monuments. Most of these places have a secure facility at the entrance for visitors to leave behind shoes and slippers.
