Aston Lodge is an elegant Georgian House situated in a quiet but convenient position close to the local train station in the heart of Wem a lovely small market town only 10 miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury. We refurbished the property in 2013 and have 5 bedrooms available all of which are en-suite. 3 rooms are in the adjoining coach house - 1 double and 1 twin (or superking double) on the ground floor (with direct access to the courtyard) and 1 superking double (or twin) 'suite' with its own lounge extending over the first floor. Two more rooms are on the first floor of the main house a single room and a double room with superking size bed both upgraded with stylish traditional decor. All rooms are fitted out to a high standard with colour TVs/DVD player complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities and toiletries hairdryer radio alarm clock plus iron and ironing board on request. In addition all rooms have access to free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house. We have ample off-road parking to the front and rear of the house and there is a pleasant good-sized garden as well. Breakfast is included in our prices and we use fine quality and where possible locally-sourced products. We are an ideal base for those visiting the area whether it's for work seeing family and friends touring around the local visitor attractions or just passing through on your travels walking cycling or motoring (cycle hire also available). So whatever your reason to visit Wem we will try to make your stay a welcome and comfortable one! PLEASE NOTE: Adults preferred and we welcome any accompanying children aged 10 years and over. Two rooms (1 double and 1 twin) are located on the ground floor of the coach house. However the hallway in the main house has 2 sets of 2 steps which need to be negotiated to reach the breakfast room.
