The Old Forge B and B and Holiday Barn is run by Colin and Wendy Pearce and is located in the village of Knockin between Oswestry and Shrewsbury Shropshire. Knockin is a central point for horse-riding golf fishing walking cycling and visiting National Trust properties. It has the added convenience of a quiet local pub next door (The Bradford Arms) which serves good quality food and traditional ales from mid-day until 9 p.m. There are numerous places of interest which include Powys Castle and Chirk Castle Erdigg Attingham Park (all National Trust Properties) Whittington Castle Offa s Dyke Llanymynech Lake Vyrnwy Llanrhaedr Waterfall Pontcysyllte Aquaduct World Heritage Site Llangollen and numerous other places. Shrewsbury is some 12 miles away and Oswestry five miles. Chester is about 30 miles.
