C# (ASP.Net) Developer

Travel Republic are looking for exceptionally talented, dynamic, energetic and enterprising developers to join our team in Kingston upon Thames.

Essential skills include C# and Microsoft SQL Server – ideally with experience in an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environment (although this is not essential). Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS would be a benefit. Any knowledge of App Fabric, WCF, nHibernate or NoSQL (MongoDB or Redis) would also be beneficial.

Who are we looking for?

You must be passionate about software development and have a desire to write some really great code. You will need to be a techie and a “hands on developer”, with drive, determination, and the passion to get totally involved in the business. Being based in one of our small teams, you will enjoy a fast paced environment with a weekly release cycle, fully supported by our testing team.

We encourage a collaborative working environment so excellent verbal communication skills are key.

You’ll be working on innovative client facing travel based web sites. Developing, maintaining and improving internal systems (payments engine, accounting systems, extranet, hotels, flights systems etc) and working on exciting new projects.

For these positions, we are considering candidates who have at least 3 years post graduate commercial experience. You may have worked as part of a team or at a more senior level. We are keen to hire a number of individuals that have a broad range of experience. If you have experience of developing for an online high volume public facing website it will be a real advantage. As we are a Microsoft house you will need to be an expert on all things Microsoft.

Key Skills needed

  1. Minimum 3 years commercial C#, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server Development skills essential.
  2. Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS an advantage.
  3. A knowledge of technologies such as App Fabric, WCF, nHibernate, NoSQL (MongoDB or Redis) will also be an advantage.
